Why STASTO
Manifolds and compressed air distributors from a single source
From linear manifold rails to compact small distributors right at the point of use: the range covers all common designs, threads, and materials for compressed air distribution.
Wide range of series
Standard manifold rails of the KP series, shut-off manifold rails with ball valves of the KPV series, cross distributors of the RA029 series, T-distributors of the MDI03/MDI18 module series, and push-in multi-outlet distributors of the PI79C, PI90C, and PI95C series.
From 2 to 12 outlets
Single- or double-sided outlets, connection threads from G1/8 to G1" – allowing the distributor to be matched to the actual number of consumers.
Material matched to the environment
Anodized aluminum for standard applications, brass for compact T-manifolds, engineering plastic (PBT) for push-in multi-manifolds. Corrosion-resistant versions available depending on series and variant.
Datasheet-driven selection
For every variant you'll find inlet thread, outlet thread and outlet spacing – for the modular series also inlet pressure and flow rate. This lets you order the technically correct version.
Guide
Selecting the Right Distribution Manifold
Four criteria lead to the right series: number of outlets, thread, shut-off capability, and design type. The load-bearing values for each variant are listed in the respective product datasheet.
Step by Step to the Right Series
- Determine the Number of Outlets
- Count consumers and plan for reserve capacity. Series KP offers versions with 2 to 12 outlets, single- or double-sided; push-in multi-distributors cover 3 to 6 outlets.
- Define Connection and Outlet Threads
- The connection thread must match the supply line, while the outlet thread must match the hoses or fittings used. Example Series KP: connection G1/4 to G1/2, outlets G1/8 to G1/2.
- Check Shut-Off Capability
- If individual consumers must be shut off separately, choose a distribution manifold with integrated ball valves from Series KPV instead of a standard manifold.
- Select the Design Type
- For a linear row of outlets, use the distribution manifold; for selective distribution at the point of use, choose a T-, L-, or cross-distributor; for quick plug-in mounting, use the push-in multi-distributor.
- Adapt the Material to the Environment
- Anodized aluminum for standard applications, corrosion-resistant versions depending on series and ambient conditions. The exact material specification is listed on each product page.

- Push-in multi-outlet distributors made of PBT: PI79C 4-way, PI90C 6-way, PI95C 3-way, for tube outer diameters 4 to 10 mm with male thread R1/8 to R1/2.
Comparing Distributor Types
Manifold Bar, Compact Manifold, or Multi-Outlet Manifold?
The four designs differ in number of outlets, connection type, and mounting. The table shows the typical features of each series.
| Series KP | Series KPV | T-/Cross Distributors (MDI03/MDI18/RA029) | Push-In PI79C/PI90C/PI95C | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Design | Linear Manifold Bar | Linear Manifold Bar, Shut-Off | Compact Manifold (T, L, Cross) | Push-In Manifold for Plastic Tubing |
| Outlets | 2 to 12, single- or double-sided | ball valve per outlet | 3-way (T), 2-way (L), 4-way (Cross) | 3-way, 4-way, or 6-way |
| Connection | Inlet G1/4–G1/2, outlets G1/8–G1/2 | Threaded connection, shut-off per outlet | Thread G1/8–G1/2 (RA029) | Male thread R1/8–R1/2, hose 4–10 mm |
| Material | Anodized aluminum | Anodized aluminum | Aluminum (RA029), T-distributor partly brass | Technical plastic PBT |
| Mounting | Bolted, outlet spacing 30–36 mm | Bolted, ball valve via screwdriver | Directly at the point of use | Tool-free push-in mounting |
| Typical application | Central distribution in the control cabinet or on the frame | Test benches with frequently changing tap-off points | Localized distribution without pipework | Flexible hose distribution |

Applications
Where Compressed Air Manifolds Are Used
Compressed air manifolds consolidate the supply line and distribute it in an organised way to multiple consumers – shorter runs, fewer fittings, a cleaner setup.
Machine and Plant Engineering
Central distribution in the control cabinet or on the machine frame to cylinders, valves and grippers – linear manifold blocks from the KP series keep the layout clear and tidy.
Production Lines
Parallel supply to multiple stations from a single main line, routed cleanly through a manifold block instead of branching individual tap-offs.
Test and Assembly Stations
Shut-off manifold blocks from the KPV series allow individual outlets to be switched on and off selectively during operation.
Maintenance & Servicing
Compact T- and cross distributors provide quick splitting right at the point of use, without the need for extensive pipework.
Packaging and Filling Technology
Many short hose runs to grippers and cylinders: Push-In multi-outlet distributors from the PI79C, PI90C and PI95C series accept plastic tubing without tools. Check material suitability per series and variant.
Demanding Environments
Where corrosion exposure is higher, corrosion-resistant versions are available – material specifications can be found per series and variant on the product page.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About Manifolds and Compressed Air Distributors
Answers on designs, threads, materials, and pressure ratings.
What's the difference between a manifold and a multi-connector distributor?
A manifold distributes compressed air along a longer bar with multiple threaded outlets and is bolted in place; a push-in multi-connector distributor is more compact and accepts plastic tubing tool-free via push-in fittings. For applications with several fixed outlets, the KP and KPV series are ideal, while the PI79C, PI90C, and PI95C series are suited for flexible tubing distribution.
Which manifold fits G3/8 or G1/2 connections?
The KP series offers versions with a G1/2 inlet connection – such as the KP-4025 and KP-6030 – and outlet threads up to G1/2. The exact combination of inlet and outlet threads for each variant is listed in the corresponding datasheet.
Can I shut off individual outlets?
Yes, with a KPV series manifold: each outlet features an integrated ball valve with screwdriver actuation. This lets you shut off individual outlets without depressurizing the entire manifold.
What material are the distributors made of?
This depends on the series: KP series manifolds are made of anodized aluminum, RA029 series cross distributors are made of aluminum, compact T-distributors are sometimes made of brass, and push-in multi-connector distributors are made of engineering plastic (PBT). Corrosion-resistant versions are available depending on the series and variant.
What pressure can the T-distributors withstand?
The MDI03 and MDI18 modular series are rated for an inlet pressure of up to 16 bar. Flow rate varies by size and reaches up to 18,000 Nl/min; refer to the product datasheet for the exact ratings of your specific variant.
Which outlet counts are available?
Depending on the series, 2 to 12 outlets for the KP series, and 3 to 6 outlets for the push-in multi-distributors. Compact distributors cover 2 outlets (L-distributors), 3 outlets (T-distributors), and 4 outlets (cross distributors).
How large is the outlet spacing on distributor manifolds?
For the KP series, outlet spacing ranges between 30 and 36 mm. The exact spacing is specified per variant in the datasheet and determines how much space the fittings need side by side.
Are the distributors available for quick delivery?
Standard versions are generally available for quick delivery, special variants on request. The binding availability can be found per series and variant on the respective product page.
